Cesvaines piens started production in 1930s. since then, regular investments are made to continuously modernize the production process, ensuring customers with the high quality products.
Milk is purchased mainly from farms in Vidzeme, which as a region has always has been known for providing high quality and high yields of milk in Latvia.
Withan average production of 265T per month, JSC Cesvaines piens isamongst the largest semi-hard cheese producers in Latvia. Popular products of Cesvaines piens are cheeses such as Tilsit, Gouda, Maasdam and Cheedar type.
The organic production cycle is completely separated. It processes more than 440T of certified organic milk in a month, which is then used in production of organic cheese, butter and curd.
One of the county's biggest employers with more than 115 qualified specialists.
In the past 10 years with the co-operation of the European Union project, more than 3.9 million euros have been invested in the modernization of the production plant.
Since the autumn of 2020, the company has expanded its scope of activities adding distributor of well-known brands of Latvia and the world. Currently, the company successfully works with the popular brands in Latvia such as SIERA NAMS and CIBA, as well as the world-famous brands KÄSEREI CHAMPIGNON, FRICO, EHRMANN and others.
Every day 4,5T of cheese ARE processed in the company's packaging facility in Riga. Various semi-hard and hard cheeses are packaged in slices, cut into pieces and grated for the convenience of consumers. Most of volume is sold under trademarks CESVAINES PIENS and SIERA NAMS, as well as packaged for other local or foreign partners. On average 500’000 products are packed every month.
